Terms & Conditions
1. Definitions
"The Vehicle": The campervan provided for hire.
"Hirer": The individual(s) entering into this agreement and renting the vehicle.
"Security Deposit": A £750 refundable amount held against potential damages or breaches.
"Rental Agreement": The binding contract outlining the terms of the vehicle hire.
2. Booking & Payment
Full Payment: Required at the time of booking; no deposit system is in place.
Payments accepted via credit/debit card using our secure online checkout.
Security Deposit: £750, payable via BACS or pre-authorised credit card transaction.
Documentation: All necessary documents must be submitted prior to collection.
Rental Agreement: Must be reviewed and signed before vehicle handover.
3. Driver Requirements
Age: Drivers must be between 25 and 75 years old.
Licence: Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
Points: Maximum of 6 penalty points accepted.
Identification: Two forms of address proof dated within the last 3 months are required.
Only named drivers are permitted to drive the vehicle.
Drivers must not have had their insurance declined, cancelled, or special terms imposed.
Foreign Service personnel and those with non-UK passports are not permitted to drive.
A one-time DVLA check code is required within 72 hours of collection for licence verification.

4. Collection & Return
Collection Time: Between 08:00 and 15:00.
Return Time: By 16:00 on the agreed return date.
Late Returns: Charged at £50 per hour.
Cleaning: Vehicle must be returned in the same internal condition; a £100 valeting fee applies if not, especially in cases
of pet hair.
You are responsible for returning the vehicle clean and removing all rubbish.
Allow up to 1 hour at pick-up for vehicle handover and instruction.
5. Fuel Policy
Fuel Level: Vehicle is provided with a full tank and must be returned full.
Refuelling Charge: £25 administration fee plus the cost of fuel if not returned full.
6. Mileage
Limit: 1,000 miles per week.
Excess Mileage: Charged at £0.32 per mile.
7. Pets
Allowance: Dogs are permitted at £25 per dog per trip.
Pet Pack: A "Bring Your Pooch!" pack is provided.
Responsibility: Hirer is liable for any damage or additional cleaning caused by pets.
8. European Travel
Permission: EU travel is allowed with prior notification and completion of necessary documentation.
You must complete a VE103B Vehicle on Hire Certificate: https://www.gov.uk/taking-vehicles-out-of-uk
EU Travel Pack: Includes headlight beam deflectors, UK sticker, warning triangle, hi-vis vests, first aid kit, and spare
bulbs.
Insurance & Breakdown Cover: Valid across the EU.
9. Insurance & Breakdown Cover
Insurance Excess: £750.
Breakdown Provider: Call Assist.
Coverage: Home Assist, Roadside Assistance, Nationwide Recovery, and European Assistance.

Fines: Traffic fines, tolls, and congestion zone charges are the responsibility of the hirer.
Damages: Any damage, missing items, or excessive cleaning may result in full or partial loss of the security deposit.
10. Cancellations & Refunds
Over 6 Weeks Before Hire: 50% refund of the total hire cost.
Within 6 Weeks of Hire: No refund.
No-Shows: Treated as cancellations with no refund.
11. Vehicle Use & Restrictions
Prohibited Uses:
- Carrying more passengers than seatbelts.
- Towing or pushing other vehicles.
- Off-road driving.
- Participation in races or contests.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Maintenance: Hirer must regularly check oil, water, and tyre pressures.
Negligence-related damage (e.g. over-revving, incorrect fuel) is not covered by insurance.
Damage: Hirer is liable for any damage caused by negligence or misuse.
Keys: You are liable for the cost of a replacement key if lost or damaged.
12. Smoking
Policy: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the vehicle.
Penalty: Charges apply for any damage or odour resulting from smoking.
13. Personal Belongings
Responsibility: Fiordline Campers is not liable for personal items left in the vehicle.
Return of Items: Efforts will be made to return found items, but storage is not guaranteed.
14. Parking
Customer Vehicles: May be left at Fiordline Campers' premises during the hire period at the owner's risk.
15. Amendments
Changes: Any amendments to the booking must be made in writing and are subject to availability and approval.
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate any hire at our discretion if terms are breached.

16. Driver Documentation & Insurance Compliance
In order to comply with our insurance policy and ensure that your hire is valid and covered, we require the following
documentation from all drivers:
Required Documentation (* = mandatory):
- *Copy of the photo card driver's licence (must be up to date with correct address)
- *Online DVLA licence check using a valid check code (UK mainland only): https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence
- *Two separate proofs of address (see acceptable documents below)
- Cleared and traceable security deposit (BACS, credit/debit card)
- Signed rental agreement
Additional Criteria:
- Drivers must be between 25-75 years of age and have held a full UK driving licence for at least 2 years
- No more than one fault or outstanding claim/incident in the last 3 years
- A maximum of 6 penalty points accepted
- We do not accept non-UK licences at this time
Acceptable Proof of Address (Two Required, from Separate Sources):
- Electricity, Water, Gas, Broadband/Landline, Council Tax, TV Licence
- Bank Statement, Credit Card Statement, Mortgage Statement, Polling Card
- HMRC self-assessment or Tax Credit letter, Student Loan, Shotgun Licence, Payslip, Mobile Phone Bill, Pension
Letter, Car Finance Statement, Loan Statement, Property Deed
All documents must be dated within 90 days of the hire date (except annual Council Tax bill). The name and address
must match the driver's licence.
Documents NOT Accepted:
- Insurance documents
- Any document not meeting the criteria above
Failure to provide the required documentation may result in cancellation of your hire without refund and may invalidate
your insurance. If you're unsure about anything, please contact us before your hire date.
